Oh my, the special scramble I had with oysters, bacon and etc etc etc was SO incredible! The oysters were HUGE and obviously so fresh (they nearly squirted and then melted in my mouth!). Everyone else was more than satisfied with their meal (despite my aunt not liking her salmon on the Salmon hash, it was too fishy and I had to agree. The entire dish was so good though, that she left RAVING about it!). My sister wanted a vegetarian benedict and the server/cook gladly made the substition and she loved, loved, loved it!
Might I mention they have local organic eggs?! SWEET!
My only complaints - it being a cool fall morning, every time the door open we all shivered. And the poor server (who did great, though) got a full restaurant in ten minutes! He more than managed, thank goodness, but my heart went out to him! We got there a few minutes after opening and that was the PERFECT time.
I would definitely go back again, thanks Luna House!

Some of the freshest seafood I've ever had!
Have had all their different kinds of fried fish, all are moist and tender with no breading to get in the way of the flavour. The clam strips are battered, but perfectly light batter and not chewy at all. Sea scallops were my favorite, delicous and melt in your mouth with no breading either.
The bowl of slumgullion is HUGE. The broth has a nice consistency, not soupy but not way thick either. Chock full of shrimp and clams!
Overall, the best seafood I've had yet on the Oregon Coast.

Inside could have been any one of a hundred tiny eclectic restaurants on the west coast. Mismatched tables, asymmetrical walls, do-it-yourself murals, you name it. The waitress was a character (crazy hair, lots of blue eyeshadow) and the cook was singing to herself, "I'm done with breakfast, I'm done with breakfast!" I loved it.
On to the food! This place ended up being the bomb. My friends and I were immediately seated at the one large table in the place. There were 4 of us plus a toddler. We all quickly decided to order different things so we could try a variety of fish.
I ordered clam strips and chips. We also ordered halibut and chips, fish and chips(fish was ling cod), scallops and chips, and a variety plate of halibut, albacore and salmon and chips.
The things I loved: everything. Only the clams were breaded - everything else was served pan fried, no breadding allowed. I approved! the best scallops I've ever tasted. Ever.
I have to break right here and say: I could talk all day about this seafood but all I really need to state is - Delicious. Cheap. Super fresh. Chef is a master. Go eat there.
In fact, it was so good, we went back for lunch the next day. I had the slumgullion, which came with garlic bread. For 10.00. It was an enormous bowl dripping with delicious melty cheese and loaded down with bits of clam and shrimp. This puts most clam chowders to shame. Not too thick or rich, definitely not too heavy on potatos. Really great consistency and flavor. Did I mention 10.00? This is almost big enough to share.
I've been spreading the word to whoever will listen about this little gem. Come early, come hungry, just get there.
